The Best Vintage Markets in Milan - And Where to Find Them:

Milan might be best known for its high-end fashion houses, but tucked between glossy storefronts and stylish cafés lies a treasure trove of vintage gems. Whether you're hunting for 90s denim, antique jewelry, or that perfect one-of-a-kind jacket, the city’s vintage markets offer something for every secondhand soul. Here’s your guide to the best vintage markets in Milan - and where to find them.

1. Fiera di Sinigaglia

📍 Alzaia Naviglio Grande – every Saturday from 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM

Not only is Naviglio Grande full of colours and festive people in the night-time, every Saturday vibrant vendors brighten up the street in the day-time. You can therefore enjoy a stroll through the picturesque canals, while finding vintage treasures. Fiera di Senigallia is definitely one of my favorite’s! It’s a bit more low-key and budget-friendly than other markets, perfect for spontaneous finds.

PS: Every last Sunday of each month, in the same exact location another market named: Mercatone dell’Antiquariato is being held, from 9.00AM to 6PM. Here you’ll find less vintage clothing but tons of cool, retro and artsy antique’s- perfect for spicing your home up!

2. East Market Milan

📍 Via Mecenate, 88/A – usually one Sunday a month from 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM

East Market is where creatives, collectors, and fashion lovers gather. The market is unique because of it’s live DJ set, over 300 stalls, and food court- you can easily spend a whole day there! You’ll find everything from vintage Levi’s to handmade jewelry, vinyl records, and quirky homeware. Since it’s only once a month, follow their instagram and be up to date with the next event!

3. Mercato di Via San Marco

 📍Via San Marco 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Tucked away in the charming Brera district, the Mercato di Via San Marco is a stylish open-air market held on Mondays and Thursdays, where you can browse fresh produce, gourmet treats, and ELEGANT clothing including fine Italian leather and cashmere pieces. A bit higher in the price range, but also quality products.

PS: in the same area lies another market with amazing high-end fashion items, this market is called Mercato dell'Antiquariato di Brera and is being held every Tuesday and third sunday of each month- from 9.00AM to 6.00PM. Personally one of my top, top, top!

4. Mercato di Via Fauché

📍Via Giovanni Battista Fauché – Tuesdays & Saturdays. Tuesdays: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM & Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 6:00PM

A local secret for designer seconds and vintage steals. You’ll find past-season fashion, Italian leather, and sometimes even vintage Moschino or Max Mara tucked away in a pile.

5. Wunder Mrkt

📍 Location varies – several times a year, next time: Sunday 4th of may from 11-21 at Via Bovisasca 57/59

A curated creative market that brings together vintage vendors, artisans, and upcycled fashion brands. The vibe is more artsy-cool than traditional flea, and the pieces are often hand-picked and one-of-a-kind. Follow Wunder Mrkt on Instagram for other upcoming event dates and locations.

6. Mercato di Viale Papiniano

📍 Viale Papiniano – Tuesdays & Saturdays. Tuesdays: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM & Saturdays from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Mostly known for fresh produce and textiles, this local market also hides stalls with secondhand fashion, especially on Saturdays. Dig a little and you’ll find vintage trench coats, leather bags, and funky shoes at great prices.

7. Mercato di Via Benedetto Marcello

📍Via Benedetto Marcello - Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7.30 AM - 2:00 PM

Probably the cheapest market I’ve been to so far! Vintage cashmere sweaters & Italian leather shoes from down to €10, and piled random vintage clothing down to €1! The market is not the most aesthetically pleasing, but money-wise the most pleasing! If you are a brokie like me- this is a must visit for finding new clothes.

That’s it for this week! Stay broke, stay thriving, and stay out of trouble-

Best, Karo<3
